SMS Consent & Messaging Policy

HeyCarla provides AI voice reservation and messaging technology for car rental operators. This policy describes how, when, and why we send SMS text messages, and the choices available to recipients. It applies to every text message sent through the HeyCarla platform.
Definition. "HeyCarla" refers to Valsoft Corporation Inc. dba Carla AI, incorporated under the laws of Canada, operating under the jurisdiction of the State of Delaware for purposes of this policy.

1How Consent Is Obtained
Customers may receive SMS messages only after they initiate a phone call with a rental operator using HeyCarla and verbally consent during the call to receive a text message. HeyCarla does not send messages to anyone who has not first called and granted permission on that call.
After the caller has chosen a vehicle and dates, the HeyCarla AI assistant asks:
If the caller says yes, HeyCarla sends one text with a secure link to complete that reservation, to the phone number used to place the call. If the caller declines, no message is sent.
Consent to receive this message is never a condition of renting a vehicle or of any purchase.
2Types of Messages You Will Receive
HeyCarla sends one transactional message type: a secure link to finish the reservation you started on the call. The message is branded with the rental operator's name. Example of the message you'll receive:
HeyCarla does not use this messaging program to send marketing, promotional, or recurring messages. We will not send you advertising, offers, newsletters, or any content unrelated to the reservation you requested.
3Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on the customer's interaction with the rental operator. Typically, customers receive one message per reservation request. You will only receive additional messages if you place additional calls and again grant permission.
4Message & Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply. These charges are set by your mobile carrier and are your responsibility. HeyCarla does not charge recipients for text messages. If you have questions about your messaging or data plan, please contact your mobile carrier.
5How to Opt Out or Get Help
Opt out. Reply STOP to opt out at any time. After you send STOP, you will receive a one-time confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, and you will not receive any further messages from this program unless you call again and provide new consent.

6Privacy of Your Mobile Information
No mobile information, text messaging opt-in data, or consent information will be sold, rented, shared, or disclosed to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
We share phone numbers only with the service providers that help us deliver these messages (such as our SMS carrier and platform providers) and only as needed to send the message you requested. For full details on how we handle personal data, see our Privacy Policy.

7Eligibility & Carrier Disclaimer
This messaging program is intended for recipients located in the United States and Canada who are the account holder of, or have authority to consent for, the mobile number used to place the call, and who are of legal age to enter into this agreement in their jurisdiction.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to the effective transmission from your wireless service provider and is outside of HeyCarla's control. HeyCarla is not responsible for messages that are delayed, misdirected, or not delivered due to factors beyond our reasonable control.
8Changes to This Policy
HeyCarla may update this SMS Consent and Messaging Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective Date" above and post the updated policy on this page. Material changes to how we obtain consent or use your mobile information will be reflected here before they take effect.
